Delhi High Court Announces 10 Days Judicial Custody for Comedian Rajpal Yadav and His Wife

rajpalNew Delhi, Tuesday, December 3 – Today, a shocking news came in the limelight for the film fraternity as soon as Delhi High Court sent Rajpal Yadav, one of the popular comedians, to judicial custody of 10 days for the reason that Rs 5 crore recovery suit filed against him and his better half.

In addition to this, a contempt of court’s notice has also been issued by the judge in opposition to the lawyers who were dealing with the case of Rajpal and his wife Radha. In accordance with agency details, Justice S Murlidhar cautioned the couple of issuing non-bailable warrant (NBW) on their constant failure to appear before him. Rajpal anyhow managed to arrive to the high court prior to lunch time. On the other hand, Radha didn’t in spite of repeated instructions that were given to her lawyer.

The couple took a loan of Rs 5 crore from M G Agarwal, a Delhi-based entrepreneur, for making their first Bollywood film ‘Ata Pata Laapata’ (in 2010). Agarwal filed a case against them in the high court when the comic actor did not succeed to pay back the loan. The court has demanded for full fledged details of the actor’s bank statement of last three years.
