Countrymen Remember Mahatma Gandhi on His 67th Death Anniversary

gandhiNew Delhi, Friday, January 30 – Countrymen on Friday fondly remembered ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi on his 67th death anniversary. Top leaders are likely to arrive at Raj Ghat to pay respect to the great leader who decided to move ahead in life by following the path of non-violence to help India get freedom.

Floral tributes at Gandhi’s memorial in Raj Ghat are to be paid by the President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others in the early hours today.

The two-minute silence will be observed at the venue and in the schools in memory of Mahatma Gandhi, honoring his inputs for the rise of common man. Devotional songs will be presented by the young chaps with melodious voice. The nation pays homage to Bapu on Martyrs’ Day on his 67th death anniversary, since he imparted terrific role to develop equality and brotherhood in the society.
