Aam Aadmi Party Partially Fulfills Promise on Free Water; Residents Contented to Get 666 Litres of Water Daily

Water for FutureNew Delhi, Tuesday, December 31 – Just after being appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal gave a big reason to several residents to smile on Monday. Even though, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) promised of giving 700 litres of free water on a daily basis to each household in its manifesto, but agreed over 666 litres of free water, yet people in the Capital appeared happy with the decision and looked forward to some more significant changes in the coming future.

To stop the misuse and overflow of water, AAP decided of charging for the entire litres of water if consumption surpasses even by a litre over the 20,000 litre consumption each month. This single step is adequate enough to keep the residents on track and would help them in saving water for future. With the decision over water, which is free of charge, more or less 9 lakh domestic consumers will be eligible for the benefit.

Within a couple of days, Aam Aadmi Party may come forward with more relief for the people of Delhi, who have suffered a lot due to price hike in all departments. They have keenly awaited reduction in power tariff has been from long time and this is expected to happen for real in next to no time. As per the latest reports, Delhi cabinet ordered audit of three power distribution companies and the decision came soon after the meeting of Kejriwal met with CAG.
